Did You Ever....

Did you ever go to a wedding, run into an old friends' son & his wife, and then proceed to stick your foot in your mouth by asking when *she's due* because she has a gargantuan tummy and she replies "I'm not pregnant."?

Yeah. Me neither.

So she should have gained weight other places, too. It obviously wasn't your fault. ;)

Too funny....when it happens to other people. My hubs asked a gal that same question once. If looks could kill, I'd be a widow. Just sayin'. ;-)

LMAO! I did that once and now I will see a woman about to give birth and wait until she mentions she's pregnant. Then she'll look at me like an I'm a total idiot and say,"Seriously you couldn't tell?"

OMG .. this happened to Husband when he met our friend's decorator .. the woman was wearing, I swear to gawd, a maternity top .. she looked as if she was about to deliver ... she had been sitting down, she stood up and Husband said 'oh congratulations, when are you due?' .. she looked him up and down and said I am not pregnant .. that was followed by a very pregnant silence ...

LMAO. Totally, because I have terrible posture and even though I'm somewhat um... skeletal... SO MANY PEOPLE have asked me, "when are you due???"

I always respond with..."don't feel bad, but I'm not pregnant, I just have a habit of standing with my stomach sticking out". :o)

I carry my fat like a boy beer belly and so this has been said more than one time to me.

I tend to reply "Oh no, I'm just fat - it's much cheaper that way."

When I used to live in London, people would stand up for me on the tube and give me their seats. At first I was offended but then I thought What the hell? I get a seat!

I may have sometimes stuck my stomach out and sighed loudly after that... just sometimes.
