Saturday, the new Sam's Club catalog came and WoW! They really have some Neiman Marcus catalog caliber gifts, that pretty much blew what's left of my mind. So, I thought if I were ridiculously Richie Rich kind of rich, I'd buy these absolutely frivilous and ridiculous gifts for my bloggy friends. (Oh sure. Dream On Dreamers...)
For Mental Pause Momma, AsthmaGirl, The Tombstone Chronicler, Tammy at The Color of Home, and Jeri of In The Gutter (and all you other "Twilight" fans), I would buy the trip for four to Los Angeles, where you would attend the World Premiere of "Twilight", meet the cast and creators, attend the premiere party, and have lunch for four at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. The deal also includes first class airfare and two rooms at a Beverly Hills luxury hotel. However, two of you might have to either duke it out OR I suppose I could bribe someone to take a fifth body along...
Then, for Meg over at Lucchese To Louis Vuitton, Janie of Sounding Forth, Mamahut, Queen of the Planet Hotflash and Treasia at Confessions of a Midlife Trucker's Wife, (and all you other horse/western lovers) I would give the trip for four to Dallas to see Kenny Chesney in concert, meet and greet with Kenny himself, one autographed guitar with a CD & picture of you with Kenny (which all comes in a framed display case). This also includes first class first class airline tickets and two rooms at a luxury hotel, with limousine service to and from the concert.
For Rob over at 2 Dolphins, I would definitely buy a gaming theatre of some kind, since he has a little boy who will go nuts over all that before too long. Something to do on cold or rainy days, no doubt.
Next, for Sistas #1 and #2 at Holy Crappers, Sarcastic, Funny & Brutally Honest, Evil Chef Mom & Manic Mariah (and all you other racy ladies) I would give the Hybrid Technologies Electric Super Car that can go from 0 to 60 in 5 seconds, because I think each of you could definitely handle driving a race car. The deal also includes the very first car off the production line choosing the interior and exterior colors, first class airfare for two, and one room at a Los Angeles luxury hotel. You would fly to LA to receive the car and drive it on a professional racetrack, then they ship the car to your residence. Not a bad price for this deal. Uh-Huh.
I would give the *package* for a speaking role on "As The World Turns" in New York City AND a first class flight for two to Los Angeles to attend The Critic's Choice Awards to Flea of Flea's World, Cathy of Noble Pig, The Keeper Of All Things, Jolli Primatives and Pleasing Procrastinator. I have no doubts that each of you would probably all be very good in your cameo appearances. This package includes an amazing amount and it all sounds like fun. First, you'd get a first class flight for two to NYC, a speaking role on As The World Turns (5 words or less, lol... as well as professional hair, makeup & wardrobe), full day of access to the As The World Turns set, a DVD copy of your cameo appearance (with bonus footage of your day on the set), two gift bags courtesy of Proctor & Gamble Beauty Brands, limousine service to and from the set, and a luxury NYC hotel room. For the trip to Los Angeles you would have first class seating on the flight, attend The Critic's Choice Awards (with limousine service to & from), access to a celebrity party escorted by an As The World Turns star, lunch for two at Wolfgang Puck's Beverly Hills restaurant Spago, and one room at a Beverly Hills luxury hotel.
Did I mention that you would also have to let me come along on your trips? I might be crazy but I'm certainly not stoopid. Especially if I can afford to go anyway. This is my fantasy, so get over it, OK?
For Pearls To Hide My Neck, Rubbish By Roan, The Bliss of It All and Life Is Better With A Cute Outfit, I would give a shopping spree because I know how much they both love to shop (as do I).
Then everyone would receive little extra bonuses from me like diamond trinkets and HDTV's.
Well, that is, if I were a rich woman... Otherwise, you will be lucky to receive an email greeting, since I'm probably not going to win the lottery any time soon....
Whew! I'm completely exhausted from all the shopping and no longer have the urge, so thanks for letting me purge my urge to shop....
