These Senior Moments Are About To Get The Best Of Me.... Argh!

I suppose we all have *Senior Moments* as we approach old age. The older we get, the more we expect to have. I was rather hoping to not have any until I was up around 60 or 65. Hmmm...

When Mr. Snoots and I were getting ready to leave Las Vegas we of course, piled all of our chips together and cashed them in for real money. I was almost certain that I'd broken even until the hubby counted up his then mine, before combining them for the total. He told me that I'd come up like $200.00 short. I immediately leapt to my own defense by saying I did not lose $200.00. I admitted that the last night while playing Black Jack, I might have lost a $100.00 chip by accident, because I was unable to find it the next morning.

Mr. Snooty looked at me as if I were a complete moron. Well, that was the only conceivable thing that could have happened because I know I didn't lose it at the tables while playing.

So, fast-forward a few weeks to last Friday. I misplaced my main credit card and Sam's Club card and couldn't find it for the life of me. Growing ever more frustrated, I set aside time this afternoon to start going through everything I own, in order to find the missing credit card.

In my search to find those cards, I stumbled upon a black $100.00 Golden Nugget chip, along with $87.00 in cash that were still hiding in the side pocket of my little bronze evening bag. Can we just agree here that was a big old DUH of a Senior Moment? Now, I think I'll go through the rest of my things. No telling what I might find…. Oh The Riches That Must Be Hiding In My Closet and Drawers!

Apparently, today is my one day of clarity for the week...

There is nothing better than finding these little surprises;) Did you ever find your Sam's Card and the CC? Mine are usually in the pocket of whatever I was wearing because you want to get out of those places so fast!

Could you let me know if you find my little 'diamond' bracelet? I had it in SoBe and I know it didnt fall off, Husband had a safety clasp put on when he had CZs put in to replace the 'paste' that was in it when I got it .. its not worth anything but sentimental value and I cant find it .. I have looked everywhere .. yes, even the purse I used that nite ...

And trust me, these are not senior moments ... they're .. well .. I am having a real senior moment so I need to get back to you with what I cant remember .. ;-D

Glad you solved the mystery of the $200 from Vegas. Mr. S was probably thinking you'd lost it (in more ways than one).
Enjoy the purse search!

Wow! What a find! Do you need me to come and search any of your other purses? hee hee

I hope you find the Sam's and the credit card. I hate it when I've lost stuff like that!

Shoot! I have those moments all the time. It's like you found hidden treasure! I'm glad you lost the $200 in your bag and not at the black jack table!

At least you found the money and chip. Have you told Mr. Snooty yet? If it makes you feel any better I do this all the time. Heck one day I lost a gallon of milk! Made the store give me another. A week later I found it in the freezer where I had stupidly placed it. LOL.

I lose my debit cards and ID all the time, I'm glad it's just going to keep getting worse!

While you're looking, could you keep an eye out for the opal bracelet Dad gave me for Christmas? Oh and my peak flow meter, no where to be found here.

Thanks! You're a dear!

(Why is my verification word "dinguss"? I am not a dinguss!)

If you find the Father's Day card I purchased for the hubby, J2's new package of pencils and two packages of panty hose, could you please send them back to me? Apparently you're not suffering Senior moments alone.

When we were in Vegas, I lost my camera. Panic set in then tears.

It was in the pocket of my pants.

That I was wearing.....

Hey, I'm not a psychic, just a forager.

Woody: I know too well... as do you. *sigh*

Yes, I called the GN and they said I can send it registered mail, well packed, and they'll send me a check.

And yes, I did find my credit card & Sam's card in a secret pocket I didn't even know I had in the skort I was wearing on the last day I used it.

Daughter: I'm sorry you inherited that....

You are so funny and I can definitely relate. I do stuff like this all the time and hate to admit that it worries me a little. Husband teases that he's going to reserve my room at the nursing home. I told him that I'd probably get some rest there, just make sure I have my knitting and sewing machine!

oh my goodness...the day we were leaving for California, I held us up a good ten minutes trying to find my sunglasses. Of course, they were perched on my head.
