Have You Ever....

Have you ever lifted an uncooked pumpkin pie (cold) into the oven and made skin contact with a HOT oven heating coil?

Yeah. Me neither...

My left hand spent the entire day of Christmas Eve in my newly acquired ice pack, alternating with juice of aloe vera plant. The burn runs from my wrist to the knuckle of my thumb and today, it doesn't hurt a bit. Aloe is an amazing plant. Ice isn't so bad either...

And, my derriere (from my last mishap) is bruised but not broken, along with my dignity.

;-)

Honey - this Christmas has been hazardous to your body!!

I hope you feel better soon!

If you have any honey, try putting some on before bed and wrap it so you don't get honey everywhere. I hope it heals fast!
Hugs!!

I'm glad it doesn't hurt, because it looks very painful! On the bright side, this year is almost over. Perhaps next year will be less painful. ;)

I'm wondering if Mr Snooty was able to find one of those Ronco Plastic body bubbles for you yet?
Woman, get thee somewhere safe until this wave of mishaps passes!

I think you should just stay in bed until the new year. You don't want any more accidents.

I have a matching burn on the middle finger of my right hand.

I always forget about aloe!

Oh I hate those!!!! I've had so many of those burns that I now wear the glove style hot pad even if I'm turning on the damned oven. Next year we are having Chinese takeout is all I have to say.
Well, you've got yourself one great reason to take it easy and have a few extra drinks on New Years. Have a safe New Years!

I truly think you should call a moratorium on all things domestic for the rest of the year. There are plenty of nice restaurants in Midland, and I know that Mr. Snoots can turn a hand in the kitchen. Not a forever moratorium...just till you heal up! Hope the rest of your Christmas with your children and Mr. Snoots was merry. BE CAREFUL out there!

By the way your word verification this morning is slybarf-hmmm.

I would be living in fear of next Christmas now.

Dare I ask if you had been sipping a hot toddy before this happened?
Merry late Christmas, sweet friend!

Aloe rocks. I keep a plant in my kitchen just for events like that. Glad it's worked!

Yes... the oven shut on my arm just as I was putting the pan in. Nasty!

Glad it's better but you need a holiday from all these injuries.

I have done that before! Not with pie, but same outcome! I hope you are all healed up by now. I'm playing catch up with all my bloggy friends!
