The Good, The Bad, The Ugly & The Fabulous New Windows...

I know. I know.  I've been talking about getting new windows for several five years now and that day has come at last! Mr. Snoots and I spent the weekend taking down window treatments and moving furniture out of the way because the window installers called to say they would be here today, Monday. Yippee!

Honestly, I thought this day would never come. Now that it's finally here, I have butterflies in my tummy, in anticipation. I'm sooooooo thrilled to be getting them installed, at last. And, the crew doing the windows is totally professional, in every way.  So far, I'm as pleased as I could possibly be. They've been very careful to not break anything or disturb anything, for which I'm eternally grateful. They also plan to clean up after themselves and do all the necessary painting, as well as other types of detail.

Does anyone remember me saying that by the time Mr. Molasses finished painting the back of our house, it would probably be time to re-paint the front? Actually, I was joking when I said that.  Words do so often come back to haunt us, right? I sincerely doubt this picture even needs words. But, let's move on.

So, the workers have been hard at it all day now and they got 2 large windows plus one smallish window, installed. They'll be back bright and early in the morning, to finish the next 4 large windows, which means they'll probably be here again on Wednesday. No skin off my nose. They haven't bothered me a bit and upon inspection, I see that their work is impeccable. Occasionally, the Snootys get lucky. Who knew?

When everything is finished I'll post pictures again. Then, after everything is finally back in place, I'll post the latest pictures. I'll have to make some changes in some rooms, with the window treatments (due to different sizes of new windows), but most should be just fine. Or not. Who Knows? Still, we're another important step closer to selling this place. Again, Yippee!

What's making YOU happy this week?

MPM: Honey, you deserve all kinds of offers for high paying jobs. Will it possibly be real estate? Hmmm... As for the paint job, it has blazing steam blowing out my ears & un-lovely expletives coming out of my mouth. Zzzzzip.
