A New Meme... All About Music From Your Past

Daryl over at out & about in new york city did this meme on her blog on Sunday and it looked like fun, so I decided I would do it as well.

The rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 5 songs you are embarrassed to admit to others that you like and tell why.

So, here goes...

Popscicles & Icicles by The Murmaids
I was in the 6th grade in Okie City when I first heard this on the radio one night. I bought the 45 record and drove my brother (The Prince) insane by playing it over so much.

"Leader of the Pack" and "Remember (Walking In The Sand)" by The Shangri-Las
I think I was in Jr. High School when these songs were popular. I also bought the 45 for these songs and drove EVERYONE crazy by playing them over & over again.

"Dedicated To The One I Love" & "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles
I dreamed about love while I listened to these songs, and I didn't even know what love was, but I also played these over & over, making everyone around me nuts.

"Johnny Angel" by Shelley Fabares
I idolized Shellely Fabares because she played the daughter on The Donna Reed Show. I played this song until I actually drove myself nuts.

"A Lover's Concerto" by The Toys
I loved this song and I played it so much that The Prince finally smashed it to smithereens.

Now, I'm not going to *tag* anyone. If you'd like to do this, then just include a link back to me and have fun rolling down Memory Lane.

Hey! I think I actually met the Shirelles. I was a coctail waitress in a little dive they came and stayed and played. They were so sweet!

D: I haven't heard the phrase *make out* in forever, lol. But, yeah, that was make out music for sure.

NP: I just buy them on itunes then don't have any commercials

tsannie: are we the bad generation or what, lol?

mamahut: That is so COOL! I was a cocktail waitress in Aspen and met a few folks myself. So, it's not all bad.

I loved 'Leader of the Pack' and 'Johnny Angel' when I was younger. Actually I still do.
Every now and then when I get in the car I tune in the oldies station. My daughter just rolls her eyes at me. hehe.
