The Twilight Series....

I want to know which blogger originally suggested these books.... because I stayed up until 3:30 this morning reading and got halfway through the book. I finally had to force myself to put it down, close my eyes, and go to sleep, because I was playing golf today with the weekend *day game group*. This book is such an easy read and yet, so deeply engrossing. I haven't read a true *page turner* in several years, so I was all over it. However, I knew I needed sleep if I was going to play well today. I woke up around 8:00 AM (which was much too early since we were teeing off at 1:00 PM) and I read another two chapters then forced myself back to sleep. So, I'm not certain as to whether I want to slap this person or thank them, although I'm fairly certain I'd like to thank them.

Can I just say that I had the weirdest dreams ever during those two additional hours that I slept? It wasn't at all restful and when I awoke, I wasn't sure if it had all really happened or not, which quite frankly, creeped me out to a certain extent. I felt like I was volleying back and forth between reality and the netherworld.

Nonetheless, I arose to greet the day around 11:00 AM and had breakfast with our son and Mr. Snoots. I still had the odd feeling that I wasn't quite all there, which was disconcerting, at best. After breakfast I went outside and played *throw the ball* with our son's dog, Deja. Here is where I have to admit that I'm really starting to like her. I mean the dog, of course. She's really funny and minds my commands like a champion, which says a lot for a good blood line as well as a good owner (that would be our son). Hey, it might wind up being the only grandchild our son ever gives us (while we're alive), so I need to roll with it, okay?

Mr. Snoots chose to stay home today and watch golf on TV (can we say SNORE here?). I, on the other hand, needed to get outside and play a round of 18 holes, in the dire hopes that I might have forgotten all my new bad habits. I was right to do so. Today was a high of 73 degrees with a 10 mph breeze and it was sheer Heaven.

Mind you, I didn't break 100, but I had an excellent day and shot a 105, which I was quite pleased with, thank you. I'm a hacker, remember?

The funny thing was that yesterday my golfing buddy Judy came over with her daughter so her daughter could search through my daughter's formals, in hopes of finding something for the Junior/Senior prom. She found two that fit her perfectly, which means she has one for this year and next. I was more than thrilled to get some more mileage out of those dresses after spending a small fortune on them.

Anyway, while they were here I asked her daughter if she had read the *Edward* books and she had. So, Judy went home last night, deciding that since I thought they were worthy of reading, she should read them too and started on the first one and stayed up until 3:00 AM reading it, which cracked me up. She is as hooked as I am. So, we are neck & neck on our reading. Maybe I'm the only one that finds that funny, but I just hee hawed & cackled over that.

Fortunately for her, she beat me by 8 strokes today. Tomorrow is another day and I shall persevere. However, tomorrow I'm playing with Mr. Snoots & our son & one of Mr. Snoots' *Geriatric Crowd* at one of our two local public courses. We're playing at 9:30 AM, which is kind of out-of-the-box for me. You know. As in too early. But, I can handle it, I think. Okay, time will tell if truth be told. I'm not a complete derelict, so I'm certain I can do this. It's revenge time...

You go Miss Tigress Woods!! Well, I hope your short game is better than his right now...he really is having a difficult time right now, but doing great after being out for 8 months!!!

My short game isn't better than anyone's, but I did get lucky a few times today when I hit the cart path. It just is what it is.

Tiger will get it back, have no doubts. But even if he doesn't, he still won't ever have to worry about money, just his game. And it IS, just a game...

I read the first three. They're addicting, I'll give them that, but I knew better than to even start the fourth one. :) Enjoy!

Now I'm jealous of you! We had rain here, I mean buckets, yesterday and couldn't get out for our "coed" St Patty's tournament. Oh well, that didn't stop us from the after party. Wednesday's weather is looking good for the Golf Gals. Sounds like you're a few strokes better than moi, you can be my mentor!

I think it was Mama's idea! I know I wasn't going to read them until she did the book club thing. I borrowed them from my daughter then bought my own set when my girls have been reading plus loaned them to my niece.

I don't know from golf... have a great game!

My husband likes to tell everyone that he shot a 70-something the only time he has played golf. And then he tells them it was 9 holes!

I adored that series of books. Still find myself hoping there will be more in the future. My sleep patterns are screwy anyway so it didn't bother me to much.

arent those books wonderful?? They were suggested to me a long time ago, but just didnt sound like something I would enjoy. But I picked up the first one, and quickly read the whole series.

I don't know anything about golf, but I know about enjoying a 73 degree outside.

The Twilight series ruined me for weeks after I read them all, twice. Not because the writing was wonderful, but because of the I-can't-put-this-book-down factor. I just couldn't find that in any of the other books I picked up. I'm over it now, but it was touch and go for a while.

I have the first book sitting in my office, but I'm afraid of what might happen if I dive in. I tended to yard work this weekend. UGH! Plan on hitting the course tomorrow. Can't wait.

BTW, completed "pain in the butt" appointment last week. I could write 2 weeks of blog posts about my experience, but I WON'T! In the end (HAHA) all is well!

I still haven't read those books. Oh well, maybe in my next life time!

Good job on the golf...perfect weather for it.

Yep - those Twilight books are something else... I was all Edward-this and Edward-that for a while... now I'm over it.

I imagine you'll have your head stuck in those books for a while!

Mom RAVED about those books, I may start them this summer. I love to read and once I start forget everything else.

I read most of the last one on my flight to Seattle. Needless to say, my sister wasn't happy with me when I refused to get engulfed in conversation with her until I was completely finished with the book!! The 4th one has a plot twist in it that I did not ever see coming in the previous books!
