I've been searching for a new front door wreath and had honestly finally given up. However, when I was scouring Tuesday Morning last week, I found what I was looking for. The only problem was that I had to incorporate two wreaths to achieve the look I wanted. Necessity being the mother-of-invention, I set to the task at hand and proceeded to make my two new wreaths into one glorious wreath.
When I got them home I was certain that I could hot glue them together, which turned out to be a pipe dream. I then rummaged through my jewelry making supplies until I found some plastic coated wire that I decided would do nicely. Of course, I was right. I wrapped the wire around 3 different sections of the the two wreaths, which was just enough to secure them together adequately. In the few areas where the wire was exposed, I hot glued tiny shells and faux blueberries to hide said wire.
The total cost for my project was approximately $15.99 and it looks like a much more expensive wreath, doesn't it?

That is beautiful. You could sell a lot of those around these parts for a nice profit. You might have to add a crab or two. Heehe.
Nice reflection of you, too.
Hope you have been well out there in Texas. I retire from photography - at least from newspaper work - in two weeks. It will be nice to have some time to keep up with all my old blogging friends once again.
Have a good week.
LOVE it! Only $15.99? It looks WAY more expensive! Great work!!

You are so creative/clever .. and thrifty
Very impressive! I can never find a wreath I like. I may have to try your method. :)
So pretty!!! Nice work madre.
Nicely done. I've never done a seasonal wreath thing, but I'm now quite tempted. You make it look so easy!
How pretty... Now you've inspired me. I'm heading off to the crafts shop.
LOVE it! I need to get off the course and get my house in order. I'm trying, but the damn laundry keeps getting in the way.
Beautiful efforts and certainly looks grand hanging there. Wishing you happy spring and summery days!
Pretty cool place you've got here. Thanx for it. I like such topics and everything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read more soon.
