Just Back From The Royal Wedding....

Actually, it was just a party to watch The Royal Wedding, in San Antonio. And, what a party it was!

Everyone invited was due to arrive at my friend's house at 3:00 AM and by 3:15 AM all 12 guests had arrived. Need I even mention we took naps that day?

Of course, there were Tiaras and fine attire in attendance. It was such a hoot!

Our host and hostess had planned an amazing feast including Eggs Benedict Casserole (to swoon for), oven roasted asparagus with garlic, Hollandaise Sauce from scratch, and a spinach salad with walnuts, red onion, feta cheese & a balsamic dressing.  We also had Mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice, that were entirely too tasty.

For dessert, my friend's hubby made a multi-layered strawberry shortcake that was unlike anything I've ever had in someone's home.

Also, another guest brought English Bread Pudding with a scrumptious sauce that had whiskey or something in it. Whatever. It was delicious.

Did you know that Diana called Charles *sir* up until the week before they wed? I mean, can you imagine? William and Kate know each other well and enjoy so many of the same sports and other activities. They love being together.

Anyhoo, by 8:30 AM all of the guests had gone home and we all went to take much needed naps. Still, it was so much fun!

Although many of the guests found criticism with Kate's dress and other details, I thought it was all wonderful and SO Kate. Not Diana. I have great faith in this marriage being one of the great ones of our generation. They looked so much in love. I know Diana was smiling down upon them.

However, don't get me started on Camilla the Witch....

I thought it was beautiful too. And there will always be critics. I kinda feel sorry for them....

Gosh, people just need to enjoy things without criticizing! I got up and watched the whole wedding event all by myself; none of my friends found it even a little bit fascinating. Their loss! I loved every minute.

Unless I'm wrong, didn't the Queen snub Camilla in the receiving line? It looked that way to me. Such a pity.

Wow, that is some yummy looking food! I didn't watch the wedding, but say bits and pieces of it here and there. They look very much in love!
