Oh, It's Crying Time Again.... And, I Will Most Certainly Cry

Anyone who has been reading this blog for a while knows about my crying-at-the-drop-of-a-hat dilemma. Don't worry. I haven't lost my superior position as *Town Crier*. Heaven. Forbid. However, at Christmas, when I opened my third present from Mr. Snoots, I began to bawl. No, it wasn't because I was disappointed, because I wasn't. I was thrilled beyond belief. The Mister had already showered me with the gifts I wanted, so this really came as a total shock to me. He gave me a trip to Las Vegas and Celine Dion VIP seats for her concert at Caesar's Palace, although we'll be staying elsewhere. (I can't stand Caesar's Palace, really.)

I fully realize there are many people who do not like Celine Dion. At. All. Although I can't imagine why anyone would not like her music, I believe in *each to his own* as well as *live and let live*. However, the very first time I saw her was on the Today Show when Jane Pauley was still Top Dawg. Celine was like 17 years old and could speak barely any English, but that voice truly said enough. It sent chills through me and gave me goosebumps all over. It was the beginning of my passion for her beautiful voice and musical choices. I own every CD she has made in English and one that she recorded in French. Over the years, she has only improved her craft again and again. She's really an amazing woman.

At one time, before my art studio almost burned to the ground, I would go out to my studio every night and paint canvas floorcloths to her music, feverishly, until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning, so I know her music quite well. I really didn't think I could get this excited over something less than going to Europe, but I truly am very excited. Besides, I always love to go to Vegas for a few days. And, I'm watching my Celine Vegas DVD over & over to see if I can try to get through it without bawling like an idiot. Wish me luck, huh?....
