It's A James Bond Weekend on Encore Movie Channels... AKA Male Chauvinist Fest

Is there any better *Male Chauvinist Movie Festival* than the collection of James Bond/007 movies? Surely, there is no other series of movies equal to the mastermind behind the Ian Fleming books of distinguished fame. 007... The All Time Male Chauvinist Character. Honestly, you have to love it! Who else names their female characters Pussy Galore, Plenty O'Toole, Bibi, and Mary Goodnight? How could Ian Fleming have known he was writing about the all-time politically incorrect character? Can we spell Bimbo? Oh Yes We Can!

It is a 48 hour festival of the all-time greatest male chauvinist pig movies. It's a great insight into the ridiculous minds of men. I'm just saying..... You might not really want to go there. Seriously.

The hubby and I are going yo stay in bed all day Sunday and watch the James Bond Fest. What are you going to do?

Quilting, watch Nascar Daytona Qualifying, and then going out for our annual birthday dinner at a great seafood place on the bay.

Not much going on here today. Might try to get the grill working now that the snowbank has melted.
Pierce is my fav Bond.

I always preferred the humor of Roger Moore's James Bond the best.

You know, I don't think I've ever watched a James Bond movie. I think I'm not going to do a dang thing all day. It's too windy.

I honestly have never watched a James Bond movie. But I do think Sean Connery is sexy!

Aready have seen EVERY Bond movie made-sorry to say. Went on a college visit road trip with #1S one year. Trying to bond with him, ha ha -I watched what he wanted to watch. So now when ever a new one comes out -we go. It's our "thing". Would break his heart to tell him that I really don't like them!! What a Mom does for her kids.

Knitting today- nice weather here. 45 degrees, going for a walk.

I can't pick a favorite Bond star! I just loved them all... male chauvinist pigs that they are, lol. However, I do lean a bit toward Sean Connery.

We have high winds here today(35 mph w/ gusts up to 60 mph), with the threat of rain. So, what better way to spend the cloudy day than to stay in bed & watch "Bond Unbound", as Encore has dubbed it? It really makes you appreciate a politically correct world.

ok, I'm going to tell you a secret-- reveal something about me that no one else knows (are we alone?)...

I have never seen ONE James Bond movie. I was tempted with all of the hype with this last one, but considering I missed the first 200, I thought I'd be lost.

Hubbie is now turning my son onto Bond--with a few scenes skipped! LOL I love Pierce Brosnan he can be as unPC as he wants with me!

Writing WAY too much this warm Sunday (44*, WHOO!). I do have a date with Camilo this afternoon at the Buick Invitational. Hubbie went out to buy a desperately needed new TV for the family room. Camilo should look better than ever. I mentioned I love Hubbie right?

OMG..I can't believe those that haven't seen any Bond movies. I LOVE them. They totally crack me up. Live and Let Die is probably my favorite although the newest Bond (Daniel Craig) has quickly turned into my favorite. Sean Connery was my favorite before that. Weird I know, Roger Moore was in my favorite but I still liked Connery better. Now Pierce, I fell in love with him when he was Remington Steele..and he could bond with me any old time he wants! lol

My confession: I love Bond movies. I don't know why. The plots are all the same, and they are too convoluted to understand. But, that is so not the point is it? Who can resist the ladies both good and bad? I still remember Barbara Carrera as Fatima Blush, quite lovely and evil as all get out :) The movies are SO male chauvinist they are amusing. My vote is still for Sean, he's the best :)

I think for it to be a TRULY male chauvinist pig fest - then you need to dress up in a scanty french whore maid costume, serve Mr. Snooty his martini's shaken, not stirred, have dinner ready on a bed tray table and then service any other (ahem) requests he has.

But what fun would THAT be? LOL

Well, how did all that Bond-ing go? I love all those movies, they are so awesome.

I like all the Bonds...those male chauvinists...but especially like Sean Connery. After all, he was my first!

Instead of spending the day in bed watching TV, I spent my Sunday sorting, packing, moving, unpacking, and cleaning. UGH!

I sat on a cushion on the couch after sitting in a hot sitz bath for my tail end. While on the cushion I watched the movies the secret lives of bees and cried I loved it!
